This page explains the cookies and browser storage Tax Map uses. In short: we use no advertising or tracking cookies.
What we use
Strictly-necessary cookies (set by Cloudflare). Our security and content-delivery provider may set essential cookies — for example a bot-management cookie — required to serve the site securely. These do not track you across other sites and are exempt from consent under ePrivacy rules.
Local storage (preferences — not cookies). We store two items in your browser’s local storage:
theme— your light / dark preference.tax-origin— your current tax jurisdiction, so the ranking and calculator remember it.
These remain on your device, are not sent to us, and are not used to track you.
What we do not use
No analytics cookies. No advertising or retargeting cookies. No third-party tracking pixels.
Managing it
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so simply resets your preferences.
